The Visionary Behind the Movement
I am Angela Williams, the Founder & Clinical Director of Angela's Therapeutic Movement. My journey into dance movement therapy began with a deep-seated belief that the body is the most honest language of the soul. With over a decade of experience providing trauma-informed, movement-based care to children and families across clinical, community, and therapeutic settings. I currently serves at Hackensack Meridian Health Children’s Hospital, where I supports pediatric patients in oncology, intensive care, neurology, and developmental services through individualized therapeutic movement interventions.
In addition to hospital work, I have extensive experience in creative arts therapy, crisis intervention, and family-centered care. I've led therapeutic groups, provided counseling, and developed movement-based programs that foster resilience, communication, and healing. My background also includes work in residential care, autism movement instruction, and psychiatric settings, where I supported diverse populations with compassion and clinical expertise.
I am deeply committed to empowering children and families through movement, creativity, and connection—helping each individual access healing, expression, and a greater quality of life.
